Food Packaging Bags for Various food items

There obviously can’t be one single package that can serve the need of all food products. The packaging manufacturers comes with a variety of items for food packaging bags according to the product nature and certain necessary relevant attributes associated with it. Following is a brief description of some food items with the type of packaging suitable for them:

·        Candy – Food packaging bags for candies come with the polythene polypropylene type of packaging.  The idea of polythene or the polypropylene is to provide candy with minimal moisture protection. These are mostly used for hard and relatively common and inexpensive candies. There is of course other sophisticated candy packaging that can support other relatively expensive candies.
·        Cookies – The most preferred and common food packaging bags for cookies are the boxes. The outer liner packaging is mostly the chip board poly coated. Mostly, the cookies are normally wrapped in a thin lined plastic bag to protect the cookies from moisture or dust.
·        Packaging for Potato Chips – The food packaging bags for this kind of product vary a lot from one manufacturer to the other. The reason for this non uniformity is the presence of a lot of fats in the potato chips and is also subject to the intensity of the fat deterioration in the product which also varies according to the flavor and the ingredients used.
·        Food Packaging bags for Corn Chips – The food packaging bags for the corn chips are very much identical to the packaging bags for the potato chips. Although the packaging for potato chips is applicable here, but the only major concern here is that the corn chips have very sharp and fine edges. Therefore, a normal light packaging here won’t work effectively. Rather a fine stronger packaging is necessary that can firmly support the fine edges of the corn chips.
·        Nut Meats – The food packaging bags for nut meats normally come with extensive flexible packing to firmly protect the food. Mostly, the items according to their nature are packed in cans or glass containers. They also normally have much longer shelf life as compared to items not packed in tin or glass. One major consideration here is that most of the nut meat products come with oil and certain products which deteriorate the product’s shelf life to some extent. For this reason, the nut meats are vacuum packed in order to prolong their shelf life and there is lesser chance of the food quality to degrade.

Various food items come with distinct demands for their packaging depending on their types and their certain requirements. Food packaging bags come with several different qualities. It is the manufacturer who has to decide among the various options that he is given. The most economical option doesn’t mean that every aspect of the food quality and the industrial regulation are observed. There is a certain possibility that some important features of the packaging are either compromised or may be over looked.
